Welcome to Winchester!
On behalf of the 650+ Winchester team members (and growing), we would like to welcome you to the Bluegrass State, home of Catalent’s flagship North American site for complex Solid Oral Dosage Solutions with fully integrated analytical and development services. Winchester has been providing Solutions since 1992 at the site’s 180,000+ square foot facility, which sits on 32 acres just outside of Lexington, Kentucky.
The Winchester facility is part of Catalent’s Pharma and Consumer Health (PCH) segment. Catalent’s Patient First values are on full display in Winchester and are part of the equation in every decision we make. The passion for the growth and development of our team members has been integral in fostering a culture of Integrity, Customer Dedication, Innovation, and Excellence over the course of the last 28+ years in the Winchester community.

Catalent is committed to the health and safety of its employees, visitors, and the customers and patients we serve. In light of the Coronavirus outbreak, we have put in place restrictions on access to our sites.
By entering this facility I affirm that:
I have not experienced any of the following symptoms within 72 hours of visiting this site:
- Fever or chills
- Congestion or runny nose
- Cough
- Nausea or vomiting
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
Catalent takes the health and safety of its employees seriously. As such, if you should exhibit the symptoms of, or test positive for, COVID-19 over the next two days, we request that you contact your Catalent host, so that Catalent can take all possible measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
Site visitor guidelines are dependent on local regulations as well as local pandemic status and are subject to change. Your site host will advise on any changes outside of this document prior to visit.

Our Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale complex-controlled release (CR) oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. We have 28+ years of experience in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in the industry leading Glatt technology.

SECURITY
- Please observe speed limits and stop signs while driving on the premises and yield to pedestrians. Please park in visitor-designated parking areas.
- Current State-Visitors will check-in with the administrative assistant or security officer on arrival and departure and wear the issued visitor name tag or contractor badge while on plant property.
- Visitors will be issued and must wear a visitor name tag or contractor badge at all times while on site that will be printed out at the visitor Kiosk. All visitors are required to check out at the Kiosk before leaving the site.
SAFETY & EMERGENCY
- Visitors must always be accompanied within the facility.
- Photographs or videos of any kind are prohibited without approval of the site General Manager.
- Firearms and weapons are prohibited.
- Tobacco products and electronic cigarettes are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.
- In the event of a fire emergency, a long continuous alarm will sound. In the event of severe weather or tornado, an intermittent alarm will sound. Your Catalent Host will escort you to either the nearest exit door (fire) or Tornado Shelter.
- If you have an accident or feel ill, inform your host who will arrange for medical services.
ENVIRONMENT
- Recycling is encouraged. Aluminum cans, plastic, and paper recycling bins are found throughout the facility. There are also specific bins for gowning waste to be recycled.
- Any chemicals that are brought on site must have prior approval of the EHS Department and have a Safety Data Sheet.
- No foreign waste should be placed into any sanitary sewer drain without authorization of the EHS department.
GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP)
- The Pharmaceutical facility adheres to regulatory requirements under Federal Law for Good Manufacturing Process (GMP).
- Visitors must always be accompanied within the facility. You will be provided with personal protective gowning requirements relevant to the areas visited during your stay. Jewelry will need to be removed prior to entering GMP Production areas.
- For safety, footwear should be closed toe and with a low heel.
SIGNS & WARNINGS
- Please be aware of displayed warning/personal protection signs and adhere to instruction issued by Catalent staff.
- Do not enter restricted areas or touch any product, materials, machinery controls or equipment, unless authorized to do so by a Catalent employee.
IT
- Catalent offers wireless internet access for our guest. Your host will pre-register you and make arrangements for internet access during your visit.
