Welcome to Catalent Brussels Facility!

We are excited to host you and add value to your molecule’s journey from bench to market through our expertise, open communication and commitment to excellence!

This packet includes all the information that you need in preparation for your travel to the Brussels, Belgium site. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with special arrangements to ease your stay during your visit.

Make sure that you carry some form of picture ID with you, to obtain a visitor pass upon your arrival. For all the rest, you can rely on us!

Visitor Health Statement

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Catalent is committed to the health and safety of its employees, visitors, and the customers and patients we serve. In light of the Coronavirus outbreak, we have put in place restrictions on access to our sites based on a visitor’s travel history, contact with potentially infected persons, and whether one is experiencing certain health conditions.

By entering our site, you confirm that you meet the following requirements:

  • I have not traveled across any restricted international borders, or have travelled from restricted zones, as dictated by regional or country legislation, within the past 15 days.
  • I have not been in physical or close contact (i.e., within 2m/6ft) with anyone whom I believe may be infected with or has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • I have not experienced any of the following within 15 days of visiting this site:
    • Fever or chills
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Cough
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Diarrhea
    • Fatigue
    • Headaches
    • Muscle or body aches
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat

Only persons answering yes to all statements will be allowed to enter this facility.

Visitors may be required to wear a face mask when on site. Mask will be provided.

Catalent takes the health and safety of its employees extremely seriously. As such, if you should exhibit the symptoms of, or test positive for, COVID-19 over the next 14 days, we would request that you contact your Catalent host, so that Catalent can take all possible measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

Site visitor guidelines are dependent on local regulations as well as local pandemic status and are subject to change. Your site host will advise on any changes outside of this document prior to visit.

Key Brussels Site Information

Catalent’s Brussels, Belgium facility is our flagship sterile drug product fill finish facility in Europe. With more than 100 years of pharmaceutical experience and 30 years of sterile DP syringe manufacturing experience.

We have the expertise, processes, and resources to meet all of your syringe-filling needs from formulation and development to fill/finish. With experts in technology transfer, scale-up and life-cycle management, its annual syringe-filling capacity is over 200 million units. Catalent provides reliable supply with products that meet the highest quality standards.

SECURITY

  • Please observe speed limits and stop signs while driving on the premises and yield to pedestrians.
  • Please park in visitor-designated parking areas.
  • All persons visiting the plant must register at the front desk on arrival and departure, and wear the issued visitor name tag or contractor badge at all times while on plant property.
  • All vehicles and articles, including brief cases, bags, boxes, lunch boxes, containers, etc. are subject to inspection.
  • Cameras are not allowed on the site without prior authorization from site management.
  • Catalent accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal property in the parking lot.

SAFETY & EMERGENCY

  • Visitors are accompanied at all times within the facility.
  • Please be aware of the evacuation routes in the areas which you will be working and ask your Catalent host for further clarification, if needed.
  • Egress maps are posted throughout the facility.
  • Should you witness an emergency (fire, injury, chemical spill, or other hazard) call Ext. 4999.

IN CASE OF A FIRE EMERGENCY

Visitors are accompanied at all times within the facility.

If you discover a fire:
Raise Alarm

  • In the event of a fire emergency, a long continuous alarm will sound. Your Catalent Host will escort you to either the nearest exit door (fire).

If you hear the fire alarm

  • Please be aware of the evacuation routes in the areas which you will be working and ask your Catalent host for further clarification, if needed.
  • Egress maps are posted throughout the facility.
  • Evacuate the building via the nearest exit in an orderly manner.
  • Go to your designated meeting location with your Catalent host.
  • Do not re-enter any building that is in a state of alarm.
  • Do not stand or block the Fire Exits, aisles, electrical panels and fire equipment.
  • Should you witness an emergency (fire, injury, chemical spill, or other hazard) call Ext. 4999.

Accident or Injury

  • If you have an accident or feel ill, inform your host who will arrange for first aid.

GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP)

  • The Pharmaceutical facility adheres to regulatory requirements including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as specified in the Quality Agreement signed with each customer.
  • Visitors are accompanied at all times within the facility. If your visit includes a facility tour ensure you bring closed toed, flat shoes.
  • The Brussels facility employee hosting the visitor(s) on the manufacturing floor must instruct the visitor(s) upon entering the manufacturing area that they are not to touch any product and/or equipment without receiving approval by the host.
  • Gowning Procedure for the Captive Production Areas for gowning practices, as indicated by their Host, except during planned shutdown. This includes the following:
    • Laboratory coats, hair covering, products gowning and shoe covers must be worn.
    • Facial hair must be covered with a beard cover.
    • Safety glasses and hearing protectors must be worn in designated areas of the plant.
    • Bracelets necklaces, watches, earrings, wedding bands and pins are not permitted.
    • Also, trousers are advisable and no high heels as you will be gowning up into a production suit.

SIGNS & WARNINGS

  • Please be aware of displayed warning/personal protection signs and adhere to instruction issued by Catalent staff.
  • Do not enter restricted areas or touch any product, materials, machinery controls or equipment, unless authorized to do so by your host.
  • Stay clear of vehicle doorways and watch at all times for moving vehicles.

IT

  • Catalent offers wireless internet access for our guest. Please ask your host for instruction on access.
  • Catalent provides guest printing services. Please contact reception for instructions at Ext. 4999
