Modern Clinical Supply Strategies and Ensuring Effective Solutions to be Discussed by Catalent Experts at GCSG Virtual

SOMERSET, N.J. – September 15, 2020 — Catalent, a global leader in clinical supply services, today announced that it will lead multiple workshops and exhibit at the upcoming Global Clinical Supplies Group (GCSG) 2020 Global Virtual Conference, which takes place on Sept. 21-25, 2020.

On Sept. 21, at 12 p.m. EDT, Mark Woolf, Director, Depot Networks, will lead a workshop titled “Distribution Planning and the Role of Depots post COVID-19”. Mr. Woolf will discuss the requirements for current clinical supply chain distribution planning, explaining instances where depots, as well as a knowledge of customs’ requirements are essential, and how the pandemic has affected the structure of supply chains.

Expanding access to patient populations, faster recruitment, increasing patient retention and decreasing time to market are all reasons that sponsors are exploring direct-to-patient clinical trial supply models. In her workshop titled “Direct-to-Patient Distribution – The New Normal?”, on Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. EDT, Nicole Gray, Director, Strategic Supply Solutions, will lead a discussion on the benefits and risks that should be considered when planning a robust direct-to-patient supply chain model.

On Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. EDT, Kristen Devito, Vice President of Customer Service Excellence, Clinical Supply Services, and Stephanie Graham, Regional Manager, Clinical Supply Management, will lead a workshop on “Protocol Interpretation for Clinical Supply Design: A Case Study”. The session will use a case study to demonstrate the key processes that are needed to ensure effective protocol interpretation in complex trials to optimize clinical supply.

The workshops will be repeated throughout the conference, and Catalent will also showcase its clinical supply solutions as part of the virtual exhibition and networking sessions at the event.
