Strategies to Build Patient-Centric Clinical Supply Chains to be Presented by Catalent Experts at Upcoming Virtual Conferences
During the CPhI North America Webinar Week, Nicole Gray, Director, Strategic Supply Solutions and Stephen Flaherty, Global Director, Strategic Supply Solutions will present “Managing the Changing Landscape: Building a Flexible, Challenge-Resistant and Patient-Centric Clinical Supply Chain”. The webinar, on Wednesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. EDT, will explore strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, while responding to local, regional and global challenges. Ms. Gray and Mr. Flaherty will also discuss supply models that can be used to improve flexibility and better align with patient needs, as well as presenting a case study that demonstrates the impact that these patient-centric strategies can have on clinical supplies.
According to Catalent’s own research, that surveyed sponsors’ perspectives on direct-to-patient (DTP) clinical supply, more than 60% of respondents felt that it was important or very important to be able to offer a DTP option for future studies in the U.S., while 54% felt to do so would be important, or very important for the successful operational execution of their study. On May 12, 2020, during the Clinical Trial Supply 2020 – A Virtual Experience, Ms. Gray will present “Direct-to-Patient Clinical Supply: Industry Perceptions & Practical Applications”. Her presentation, at 2:10 p.m. EDT, will further explore the results of this survey, the different DTP models that are currently in use, and scenarios in which individual models or a hybrid approach, may be most effective.
Ms. Gray has more than 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry across multiple roles in clinical supplies and project management. In her current role at Catalent, she is responsible for leading the DTP business and new strategic service offerings.
Mr. Flaherty has 30 years’ experience across several clinical supplies roles, predominantly focused on project management (PM), and previously had responsibility for PM teams in the U.K. and Germany. As Global Director, Strategic Supply Solutions at Catalent, he is responsible for leading a team of global project managers to deliver a number of key innovative supply chain solutions across the Catalent global network.
